1963 Ford Galaxie 500 Two-Door Hardtop
- Build date 9/5/62 Mawah, NJ assembly plant. Shipped to Hudler Motors Ford,Trenton,NJ
- 58,000 actual miles. I have known this car since 1966 and have owned it since 1987. History back to new. It had 42,000 miles when I purchased it.
- Raven black with black interior. Frame on resto of rust free car in 1988
- G code 406/405. Original engine rebuilt 1989. Standard bore with OE pistons, Crane Fireball cam and kit, dual roller timing chain, Melling blue printed, high volume oil pump, windage tray and Milodon 8 quart pan. Petronix Ignitor ignition. Electric fuel pump feeds chrome Holley mechanical pump. Aluminum water pump. Converted to alternator (OE big pulley generator goes with the car) OE six blade fan, radiator re-cored, electric pusher fan.
- Original T-10 four speed transmission rebuilt in 1989. Hurst shifter. New clutch installed 11/17, flywheel resurfaced, new throw out bearing. 3.50 open rear original to the car.
- Interior redone in 2005. OE Radio converted for FM and MP-3. OE clock converted to quartz movement. Dash pad is original to the car and in amazing condition.
- Crites fiberglass hood, OE hood, recently painted, goes with the car.
- Original floor and trunk pans. Original fuel tank.
- Brand new polished Torque thrust wheels front and custom 8” steel wheels on back. BFG T/A radial tires.
- Brakes and suspension all in good working order. Idler arm re-built.
- Only negatives: small areas of bubbling in paint bottom front corner of passenger side door and rear wheel well lip. No rust through. She could use a new windshield due to hazing, small scratches etc.
- This car runs and drives great. Tight and smooth with no rattles or squeaks.
- Runs on 93 octane fuel.
