1969 Ford Thunderbird – 429 Thunder-jet For Sale – Pittsburgh PA – Strong, Cold AC!

For your consideration is a very low millage survivor ’69 T-Bird.  This car is in very good cosmetic and mechanical condition. This is an easy #2 car, some may consider it a #1.  The car is all oem matching numbers, correct and would probably do well if it were judged.  Below I will run through the details and condition of the car.

Exterior:  The exterior of this Thunderbird is in very good shape.  There is no rust or corrosion detected on the body of this car.  It has had one repaint that is of very high quality.  The paint measures very consistent from top to bottom showing that there has not been a lot of body work, all metal on this bird!  The glass, trim and vinyl roof all appear to be original and in very good condition.  The exterior of this ’69 Thunderbird is one of the nicest we have seen in a long time.  It more than likely would do well at a national Thunderbird event.

Interior:  The interior is all original.  In very good shape for its age, just about everything works.  All lights, radio, blowers, windows, gauges, heat and air conditioning all work as they should!  Yes, cold AC!  There are no rips or tears in the upholstery, two buttons are missing from the drivers seat. 

Underside:  Stock, unmodified condition.  Everything is how it should be when it left the factory.  There are no signs of rust, accidents or repairs!  The frame is in VERY nice shape with absolutely no rust or corrosion detected, please see the pictures to view how nice it is.  

Mechanical: The monster 360 Horse Power 429 Thunder Jet cracks to life with just the turn of the key.  10.5:1 compression sounds mean even through its stock exhaust.  The car starts easy, idles great and is very powerful.  This big car can get up and move with no issues what so ever.  The transmission shifts smooth.  Brakes, suspension and steering are what you would expect from a like this with such low miles!  Everything is the way it should be and this is a very enjoyable car!  Its hard to beat a big block engine, C6 Transmission and Ford 9″ rear end.  This is just about as stout as they come.
