For your consideration is a beautifully restored 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 W30 tribute.
This car has been built with safety, quality, reliability and enjoyment in mind. Not just enjoyment in driving but let’s be serious, this car looks amazing! You don’t need to be an exclusive Olds fan, any car lover should find this car aesthetically pleasing. It performs great too! Below I will go through the condition of this beautiful work of art.
Exterior: Finished in a beautiful Pearl White base coat/clear coat with black stripes. The convertible top is new and has a glass rear window, not plastic. The glass, trim, bumpers and emblems are in great shape! The paint is of high quality with only a few blemishes on the hood by the air scoops (hard to see unless pointed out). The blemishes are only visible when you get very close to the car. Floors, body, doors, trunk and fenders all appear to be original making it apparent that the car has never had major rust issues.
Interior: The upholstery is all fresh and new. The seat frames have been sandblasted & painted. All of the foam and seat covers have been professionally installed. The dash, instrument cluster and carpet are all new. A new Tic Toc Tac has been installed along with a new tilt wheel & console. The console has the hurst handle and dual-gate shifter. The convertible top frame has been sandblasted and painted a semi gloss black when the new top was installed. Amazing and like new is the best way to describe the interior of this car.
Mechanical – Engine, Transmission & Rear End: The 350 Oldsmobile engine has been professionally rebuilt. The engine has had some performance upgrades beyond what Oldsmobile got right in the late 60s & early 70s. The camshaft is a little bigger than factory and it now has roller rockers to free up some extra HP! An aluminum Edelbrock Performer OLDs intake helps move the air and fuel to the heads. The ignition is now breakerless and fully electronic for reliability, performance and efficiency. All of the spark plugs, wires, hoses, belts, fluids and filters are new and fresh. Cooling is taken care of by a high end Be-Cool brand 4 core aluminum radiator. Exhaust flows through 2.5″ duals and Flowmaster 40 series mufflers (and sounds amazing). The Turbo-350 has been professionally rebuilt with upgraded internals and a shift kit. It shifts firm and functions as it should! All of that power goes through a totally rebuilt 1969 positraction rear end with 3.42:1 gears. The rear end cover is a W27 aluminum unit. Everything is fresh including the Timkin bearings and seals.
Mechanical – Suspension, Steering & Brakes: Everything is fresh. All new brake booster, master cylinder, lines, front rotors, front pads, rear shoes and rear drums. The parking brake cables and hardware have also been replaced.
New springs and shocks help the ride as new front UMI tubular control arms, front & rear anti-sway bars and bushings help the performance of the steering and handling. The close ratio steering box is brand new. New Oldsmobile wheels and Redline tires help finish off the brilliant look of this 44 W30 tribute!
