About Us

A full service shop for those who enjoy driving classic cars

Fort Pitt Classic Cars was established for car enthusiasts who want to enjoy their cars but don’t have the time or expertise to maintain them. From American muscle cars, to European exotics, to Japanese sports cars, our passion is keeping these classic vehicles on the road.

Starting with a single building offering auto detailing and storage in 2008, founder Ron Libengood added services to meet the needs of the car owners. Today, FPCC operates from 3 buildings totaling nearly 30,000 sq. ft. and employs 14 highly skilled team members dedicated to maintaining and keeping classic, as well as modern passenger cars and trucks on the road. From routine maintenance to rehabilitation of non-operating vehicles to full body off mechanical and cosmetic restorations, storage, sales and appraisals, our team is there to make it a pleasure to own and enjoy a classic car.

  • “On March 16th 2016, I purchased a vehicle from Ron, of Fort Pitt Classic Cars. I found that everything I was told over the phone, by Flynn, his detail man, was 100% accurate, and exactly as described. Flynn, did a beautiful job detailing the car, and he was a big factor in our purchase. There were no surprises and we are 100% satisfied with the car and the experience we had at Fort Pitt Classic Cars. They were very easy to work, very professional and we highly recommend Fort Pitt Classic Cars to anyone looking to buy a classic car.”Brian & Christina - '77 MGB - 3/20/2016 (West Virginia)

  • “I recently used Fort Pitt Classic Cars to have some work done on my 1968 Mustang GT Convertible, based on recommendations from others at the local Mustang club… After a thorough review, they identified areas that needed to be addressed. They welcomed me to come down and take a look at how the job was progressing.  I also asked them to look at a couple of additional areas (convertible roof), and they came up with great suggestions to fix the issues.  The quality of the work that they did was first rate and the cost for repairs (hours and labor rates) was very reasonable.  I am completely satisfied with the final result.”Mark L. - '68 Mustang - 1/17/2016 (Pittsburgh)
  • “Ron and his staff have worked closely with me on a ground-up restoration of my vehicle and I have been very pleased with their professionalism, attention to detail and willingness to listen to my ideas and concerns.  We have developed an excellent working relationship and I would not hesitate to recommend them to other classic car devotees who are looking to place a vehicle needing a makeover into caring and capable hands.  If they are done right these projects are never short, cheap or predictable.”David M. - '71 Jimmy & '71 C10 - 1/7/2016 (Pittsburgh)
  • I am happy with the progress (on the restoration of my 67 Firebird)
    Your guys do great work

  • “If I could give this shop 10 stars, I would. I contacted Fort Pitt Classics for work on my classic car. I emailed them and within an hour, the owner Ron, returned my email. He mentioned that they could do the work on my car. (fading, to the floor brakes, and throttle issues) NOW, after only one day at Fort Pitt Classic Cars, the brakes are firm, the throttle linkage was fixed correctly. What surprised me further is that the technician, Tim, called me prior to picking up the car, fully explaining what he did to my car and if necessary, other options that could be done if I was not satisfied.  He asked if I had any questions and was really concerned about me and my car. I could not be more pleased with this shop. I went to pickup my car and met the technician, Tim.  Again ,he took the time to explained to me what was done to my car. He went with me for a test ride . Almost immediately, I could feel the difference in the throttle, and brakes. Up and down hills with good stopping power and throttle response. I realize this is a long review. But I felt it was necessary in order to properly explain my experience with Fort Pitt Classics.”Steve J. - '55 Chevy - 8/9/2016
  • I’ve been trying to find a shop to use and we’ve used fort Pitt classic cars other times and was very pleased with your service.Michael S. 12/23/2016
